A shot from yesterday’s magazine shoot of the mod band Pritty Green at the studio.

Pritty Green are a 5 piece band from the Midlands gigging around the UK, putting together our own style of mod/indie music and exciting live performances. They formed in the early part of 2009. Their influences are The Small Faces, The Jam, The Who, OCS, Paul Weller to name but a few

Week 7 of 52

Week 7 of 52

The image was lit using two speedlights, one bouncing of the celing to give a fill light (1/64 power). The second on the window sill pointing at the back of the book and gelled with 1/2 CTO to add warmth to the image. Shot on sunny white balance to enhance the warmth with shutter speed of 1/125, F2.8 and ISO 200.

The Vision

The weeks theme was body parts. I decided I didn’t want to just take a picture of my hand or foot; there’s nothing special about that. The aim of the 52 week project is to improve my photography.

So what to take…

Had an idea whilst looking online of doing some Photoshop and taking 2 images and then masking out the one image as to leave just the body part. Below is the iPhone prototype.
